A battle of the Blood

Riful entered the small clearing lost in her usual day dream. The field Stretched as far as the eye could see, and with a joyful laugh she jumped in a patch of dandilions. Homesick for her native land the embrace of nature was rather nice considering the dull lands she had travelled through. Riful was clad in a flowing red dress, the lining adorned with royal crownings and small charms offered to her in hope of achiving enlightenment, the greatest of honors in the Kinsland.

Ploping down Riful wondered at the beautiful landscape and was becoming lost in yet another day dream. The wind blew her crimson hair about and she was captivated by the simple pleasures that nature could bring to ones soul if they simply stepped back and looked at the world as a whole. She had plans to picnic with the surrounding animals and talk with them, learning the area through their experience, but there were no animals in sight.

She began to wander across the field in hopes of sentient life.

Trouble entered the field a little ways behind the girl he was tracking her, his ears twitched when he heard her playful frolick. "Kineara" the word rang through his head only a Kin could find joy like that in this new war torn and scarred world the other races had all become violent and hostile but not the Kineara. Trouble no longer crept quietly behind her he took off at C rank speeds once he came within ten feet of her he slowly changed into his human form. He began to circle her his right hand on the hilt of his blade while his left skimmed the dandilions carefully plucking one and bringing it up to his nose to inhale its scent. "It is beautiful here is it not a memory of the world before but as beautiful as this place is it can't shake what the world turly is." With that Trouble crushed the flower and inhaled deeply when he exhaled flames began pouring from his mouth burning many of the dandelions around them. "This is reality Kineara get used to it." Trouble grinned at her a challenge apparent on his face.

Started Riful jumped back and inhaled profusely, a young man appeared dressed in funny enough looking armor not native to anywhere she had travelled. The suddeness of his appearance put her on high alert though her demeanor appeared calm and calculating. Wa she tracking her this entire time? For how long? When did he start? Riful smiled at him as he skimmed the flowers, one hand in sight running along the beds but another concealed, Riful became super aware of the possible danger he offered.

She opened her mouth, letting a polite smile play on her lips as she went to address him before he plucked a flowed and took in its sweet natural scent. He made a remark about how beautiful the field was and how it reminded one of simpler pure times. She was inclined to agree but before she could he crushed the flower, exhaling a small stream of fire from his mouth that burned and singed the flowers, making the other in the vicinity wilt and bend. " You should respect this world..." Riful said, saddened by all the possibilities lost because these flowers would cease to reproduce. " It provides for us the sustenance we need to live, to grow and develop. The least we could do, is nurture it so these wounds we have caused will close, and the world can be healthy again." Riful leaned forward and inhaled the sweet scent of the flowers as a content smile replaced her soon to be scowl she was fighting.

The man adored a look of mocking stance upon his face and stared her down, a look of hunger upon his face. Riful met his eyes with her own emerald green and smiled a content smile. Ones such as these at times were simply lost in the world, and as time went on they would become wise and learn from their mistakes.

Trouble smiled wider he was genuinely gladdened by the girls reaction yet such an emotion somehow looked as if it didn't belong on his face. "The world will never be the same I have worked hard making it into what you see today and I will see to it that my hard was not for nothing." Trouble took a few slow steps to the girl he could tell she was wary of him and he didn't want to alarm her. "You intrigue me I have been tracking you for quite awhile and I wonder what business does a Kin have out here your kind are usually content to the meadows and streams of your homeland, and you obviously not a war party. So what is it feeling a little rebellious out here to sew your wild oats cause if you are you should head home a flower such as yourself does not belong out here." Trouble gave her another of his trademark out of place smiles before completely closing the distance between them.

Riful began to calculate her potential escape as the man waled closer, he had been tracking her after all and long enough to know she was a kin. " How do you.... she began before stopping short. He was complementing her as he drew closer. Riful's heart hammered in her chest as she tried to put the pieces together as she smiled at the man.

"Thats awfully sweet of you, but the palace was indeed cramping and this world has so much to offer, who am i to deny my kin knowledge of such a wonderful place? We are naive of this outside world and i plan to bring back tales of my travels to pass down the lineage in hopes one may continue where i leave off. The man closed the distance and she sighed slightly, her nerve ends screaming for a reaction as she readied herself for a confrontation. Theis man smiled a sweeter smile as he stepped close but it was too late, Riful had seen how he treated the flowers and if he was smart he also knew she was no fool.

Her Lance Yunalia sat at the ready, balanced across her back at the hips, he hoped she wouldnt have to hurt anyone on her pilgrimage but sometimes.....nature was cruel.

Troubles smile remained never moving as the girl spoke his grin grew even more as she finished what she had to say. "You are right the Kin are naive but you seem to have a good head on your shoulders more so then most its a pity your kind will never benefit from your knowledge." Trouble jumped back inhaling when he exhaled more flames cames flying out of his mouth towards the girl. once he distanced himself from her he began pouring his aura into the ground three flames began to rise out of the ground and with a single flick the flames began racing towards the girl coming at her head on.

Riful's eyes widened as her instincts took over immediately, flanking the man as he ran back she strafed to his right, a sudden stream of flames emptying from his mouth.....too predictable. She stopped and assesed the field, a rising tower of flames lit the field in a bright desplay of destruction. Riful looked onward helplessly as she could almost feel the agony of the flowers as they fell victim to the flames. Tears stung her eyes at the pure display of carelessness of life big and small. A malicious grin sat plastered on the mans face as the towers of fire raced towards her.

Riful wasted no time dallying, the towers closed in and she took the time to dash quickly to circle him. The flames chased without relent, snaking after her heels as she ran. The attempt was futile, they would catch her eventally or trap her in a ring of fire with him. Riful channeled her magic as she ran and placed her arms out to her sides, a red transparent bubble-like structure encasing her being. She then turned her attention to the man, taking in his every feature to read his emotions and movements as she made an attempt to flip backwards intot he flame hopefully throwing them off her trail.

Trouble flexed his fingers smiling ordering the lanes to continue past the girl and start circling him and the girl. He transformed into his wolf form for added mobility he jumped high into the air over most of the lanes he continued to do this while he triggered the lanes setting off a chain reaction from the center that would equal up to an A rank explosions. Trouble barely escaped the explosions in time he hoped the girl wasn't so lucky but even if she did he would still have the satisfaction of destroying a good amount of the damn flowers. He began to concentrate his aura into his hands waiting for the smoke to disipitate if she wasn't hurt already he was going to make sure she would go down this time.

The lanes exploded in a hail of flaming dirt and flower buds. Riful was caught mid flip, having passed through two lanes as the third struck her in the back and propelled her flip causing her to ragdoll intot he field. The viel had absorbed 1 rank of damage but the flames had singed the skin and her dress to a good degree. The pain seemed to ebb though as she surveyed the field with grim eyes. The majority of this field was aflame....all those flowers gone. A blur passed through her peripheral and Riful looked quickly, and gasped.

A regal wolf stood before her, easily twice her height and realisation flooded through her, HE WAS A KIN!. Rage welled up in Riful's heart as the wolf took the form of man again, his hands beginning to glow. Riful's anger was peaking as she tried to fight back for control. "You're one of us!" she exclaimed as her hands clenched into fist. "We are blood, we are Kin why would you do this?" She fought back tears as the betrayal sank in. There were so few kin left and to know one was out there, killing his own kind was a blow she took to the heart.

Riful shook violently with rage as she channeled powerful magic through her body and prepared for a honest fight. With her hand on her lance she struck the man with a stare of deep coviction as she spoke. "For all the brethren you have struck down in the name or murder, i will punish you!" She took up stance and leaned in low, her next words a whisper she knew his wolf ears would pick up "Prepare thyself heathen, i will humble you this day..."

Trouble eyes landed on the girl when he heard her he smiled even more as he began to well with nostalgia of times past he had heard many speeches like this before. "I have no love for the Kineara I grew up out here in the real world outside that bubble of protection and its made me strong. Hmm your fighting for alot of people then as I personally led siege to the capitol of Kineara Burning villages to the ground. Now prepare yourself girl I had not expected you to survive you have once again peaked my interest." Trouble raised a stone golem from the ground standing 14 ft with a solid stone club in his right hand. "Crush her quickly." The golem slowly started walking forward the ground shaking with each step as he slowly got up to a dead sprint raising the club over his head and swinging it down with bone crushing force.

A mighty behemoth rose from the ground, shaking the world in its wake. The field uprooted as a massive stone construct rose from the dirt. It held with it a blunt piece of the earth, "All gifts of mother nature." Riful thought as the giant lumbered towards her.

Its steps shook the world, but its advance was slow. Riful ran around it quickly tr tp time her jumps with the footfalls of the giant. it gained momentum and made every step harder to judge. She had gained a decent lead on the golem as it took time to gain its momentum, and with this opening Riful saw her opening. She drew her lance and charged the man, using her inertia to spin quickly. The tip of the lance sat waist level on her back as she twirled, tuening her into a small teister of shredding power.

This was merely to close the distance between them if the golem didnt somehow interrupt her running path. The Man seemed rather tied up pointing towards her,i the golem folling the path of the finger and her. Was it possible the thing was too stupid to do this on its own? Riful would test the theory if her attack failed

Trouble saw the girl running towards him with a lance in her hand he gave a slight sigh why couldn't she just get crushed it would have been so much simpler. Trouble moved his hands signaling the golem then the next second the golem stopped raised its giant club and with all its power it threw the club towards the girls back at A rank speeds. Unfortunately for Trouble that meant it was headed for him as well, but he still had some time so he began giving the golem a quick order. The stone giant bent down and jumped high into the air it would land about 10 ft behind the girls current position and with that he began to prepare to dodge the speeding clubs path.

Riful took momentary glances back at the golem ran towards her, the earth quaking steps becoming easier to navigate with her speed and agility. riful was nearing the man now and a primal growl escaped her throat as she attempted to hold back from transforming. Her fangs protruded well past her lips as her face contorted into a snarl, the thoughts of all her brethren boiling her blood and raising her need to see him pay for his crimes.

The golem released its giant club as she was nearing the man now and Riful jumped, releasing her lance with all her might and hurtling it towards the mans face. No matter how he dodged the result would be the same. Riful used the silhouette of the sun to stay out of direct sight as she transformed into her fow form, Flying higher and higher into the sky before reaching the point of 0 gravity, climbing an easy 150 meters before beginning her breakneck free fall back to earth.

The attack of the lance would nearly be a distraction, causing him to look away to dodge so she may bring down Divine Judgement upon his head.

Trouble gazed at her a moment he almost couldn't believe that this girl had such a transformation a winged fox. This girl surprised him and Trouble was not often surprised his thoughts however were interrupted by a lance and a giant piece of stone speeding towards him he quickly side flipped out of the way. Unfortunately the lance managed to glance his sides causing him to bleed slightly but he kept his focus on his golem. The golem had already followed the now violently descending girl into the sky if she wanted to get to Trouble she would have to get through his mighty stone guardian. With the girl already in a dead drop it was easy for the golem to intercept her path above Trouble raising one mighty stone hand it thrust it forward towards the winged fox snout.

Riful fell as Mach 1 speed, her fun waving madly in the rushing air as she freefell to earth. The golem caught up to the man, and turned its attention to Riful as she rocketed through the sky. Its mighty arm rose quickly, surprisingly quick in fact. and began a fast palm strike motion towards her exposed face. " You underestimate me!" Screamed her fox voice as she began to transform back into her human phase, he face set with determination as she neared the titanic fist of the golem. This would be it fo the man, it was unfortunate she had to bloody her hands during this peaceful pilgrimage.

As she finished her transformation Riful transferred an ungodly amount of chakra into her fist, its power brimming an intense blinding white as she roared out with power. Their fist would connect, and with her body propelled at speeds excess of 800 MPH her S rank fist slammed into the golems, plowing through with the ease of a battering ram to brittle wood. She would plow through the entire golem, tearing through the solid frame of the behemoth and impacting the earth with such force her down draft would force all beings within 25 meters to their knees against their will if they were under her rank.

As the wind of the down draft fell like a mighty angels wrath Riful stood with a swiftness, the chunks of the golem would rain around her, her crimson hair whipping around in fusy. " Fear the power of a priestess." She would say as she charged with her mighty fist. Assuming he could dodge every chuck or sizable boulder and watch her as she dashed and disappeared the hail of debris, Riful would charge forward and land a titanic punch in the mans throat, vaporizing anything in its path.

Trouble severed his connection to the golem as he sent it flying towards the girl and cast overcome upon himself increasing his ability to withstand damage. This girl really pissed him off and he would be damned if anything would keep him from breaking her. With that thought in mind he flew into the sky menacingly, his bloodlust however was cut short by the sudden destruction of his golem and the overwhelming amount of aura the girl held in her hand as she began her deadly descent. Sensing his immediate doom Trouble veered off course narrowingly avoiding the girl turned meteor as she plummeted to earth. Unfortunately for him this new course put him right in the path of the remnants of his former golem. He managed to block some of the falling boulders but a sudden explosion of aura whipped his back sending him flying into more falling debris, which in turn smacked him back towards the ground with a bone crushing thump.

Trouble cursed himself how could he let this happen? How could that girl, that pitiful Kineara be so powerful? This whole situation made no sense, in his entire life only one person had ever hurt him and that was Ripper. Never before had another being brought him this low, she would pay dearly for this. Trouble punched through the debris that was burying him and rose to full height and hovered 10ft in the air his body hurting more than his pride would let him admit, luckily for him Overcome managed to spare him from most of the damage. As he rose his eyes fell upon the priestess standing in the middle of a crater she was a vision of beauty and rage...how amusing she was, her true power unlocked by her love of weaklings. Trouble scoffed and spit up a mixture of saliva and blood while chuckling to himself and wiping the blood from his mouth and once again offering the girl a pained smile. "My my priestess I wasn't expecting this such anger and merciless behavior why you even destroyed the flowers I was going to burn, you really are too cruel. You completely ruined this field it was so full of life and now it's as dead as a graveyard do you have any idea how long it will take for it to recover as a honest Kineara you should be ashamed. You are much sinister then Igave you credit for priestess perhaps there is hope for you after all Kineara. Now let me show you what this Heathen can do prepare yourself.

Trouble closed his eyes and when he opened them five griffins appeared around him screeching their voices rumbling like thunder. Trouble ascended higher into the sky waving at the girl giving her a fond smile all the while. "behold the great Beast of Asa mountain Demor he will sort you out in my stead have fun." Trouble continued floating into the sky while the griffins began racing towards the girl the two in the lead shot forward three trident shaped lightning bolts going A rank speeds, while the three in the back flew 15ft into the sky each sending wind cutters towards the girl at B rank speeds.

The falling debris hit him full on and Riful felt her heart pounding as the adrenaline roared in her veins. The end was near she could feel it, justice would be done. Herr opponent punched his way out of the rabble and flew up a few feet, noticable scratches and cuts on his body. It was just then as he sat hoverign that Riful noticed the wings! How?! All kin were born with one one form decided at birth sub conciously by the infant. He was in turn flying and was able to be a wolf, this was not soemthign she foresaw and it troubled her slightly. Ironic.

He smiled at her now, recounting how her recent attack had devastated the field worse then he himself had. Riful knew this and it pained her so to do it, but it wasnt done out of malicious intent. " I know the damage i have caused, but i will never be like you!" She glared up at him " Sacrifices must be made for the greater good, do not patronize me!" He opponent rose higher and higher, morphing several griffins out of thin air that proceeded to attack her as he called out the name Demor.

The griffins began a death dive towards her, releasing a hellstorm of attacks in her direction. Having put such distance between them, the man had at least saved her life in some way. Riful Jumped forward, transformign into her fox form, catching a wave of the tridents on her left front paw before leaping into the flock. She growled in pain as her adrenaline pumped thick in her veins. The pain ebbed away rather quickly as her body, tempered in the ways of war and fighting, took the glancing hit without much trouble, though it left her paw stinging and rather numb.

As she outstretched her right paw , it would strike the leading griffin on the top of the head forcing it downward and putting her right in the fray. Her blood boiling Rifuls body would then catch aflame, dousing her form in a bluish white flame that would catch anythign within a 5 meter raduis on fire. With her quick speed she would spin rapidly, knocking the other griffins off course, the flames from her body burning and causing continuous damage.

Trouble looked at her much more solemnly even though he was far away she would still be able to see his piercing glare before he spoke."But priestess if we sacrifice the things we believe in for the sake of vengeance then what was the point? It loses all its purity your no longer fighting for yourself you wind up fighting for anger. Never lose yourself priestess." Troubles sick smile returned to his face as he shrugged his shoulders. "But then what do I know I've slaughtered many people for reasons that are less than noble and I don't even remember one of them. Your a priestess I bet you've lived through centuries so take my words with a grain of salt."

Trouble flew 4000ft into the air far away from the sounds of battle below him. He activated his enhanced eye sight allowing him to see perfectly up to a mile. He then began focusing his aura into the sky.

The first griffin went down spiraling slamming hard into the ground, it shook its head trying to regain its bearing. The second griffin caught aflame and was immediately ordered to sacrifice himself it launched it self towards the shooting a quick lightning bolt while following up with a bite if successful it would shoot an even more powerful bolt of lightning through her. This allowed the other griffins to escape her. The other three swarmed above her safe from her fire and began charging a barrage of wind cutters to swarm her should their brethren fail.

The griffin took the hit full on and another caught aflame, she hated to do this but her purpose was that of a higher calling. He spat down condescending phrases at her and Riful simply took them with a grain of salt. The griffin on fire attempted some insane kamikaze attack, but with a last moment twist she spun away with her tail batting it across the face and the other griffins made a break to head further up.

The dodge had left her open for an attack that thankfully hadnt come and she could feel her energy running low, she had to end it quickly. "I am not fighting for a concept and shallow as revenge, i am fighting for the justice of our people. I have not lost myself young one, i know now more than ever who i am." She flew up with drastic speed and charged a powerful mass of flaming orbs around her, though they seemed harmless each orb held enough destructive power to being down most basic shields and even altered ones with the right power.

As the griffins turned in flight to launch they attack Riful let loose her Fox Fire. Six orbs of magnificent fire sped towards them and what didnt hit them would travel up to her opponent, though he could easily dodge with the distance away her was.

As the griffin was struck across the face the fire would burn her tail and the griffin would burn to a crisp screeching horribly. As soon he died the three griffins above the girl let loose their charged wind cutters making it more powerful. The mass of aura all combined created a S rank torrent of wind that would collide with her attack. Three of her fire balls pierced the wall of wind and continued on their path while the wind cutters sped towards the winged fox. The griffin on the ground took aim and fired a lightning spear at the girls back. One of the three flying griffins ran towards the girls attack intercepting two of the fire balls at the cost of its life. The other griffins criss crossed away from the last fire ball and once again charged their aura for another attack.

Trouble smirked as his aura condensed above him and a huge missile made of energy was suspended in the sky. He looked down as his beasts attacked her from multiple sides and he doubted she would escape that unscathed. He used his perfect vision to position his attack in the perfect spot to trap her between his griffins attack. The he cast his hands down and the missile plummeted into a dead drop on the girls position and he waited for the destruction that would follow. As he threw it he felt a twang of... Well he didn't know exactly he never felt it before. Regret maybe? He didn't know but what he did know was he liked arguing and fighting with this priestess she stood for everthing that infuriated him. He wanted her alive a little longer but no matter her death would be sweet none the less. He slowly floated down keeping his eye on the girl to see if she was killed.
